TIMETODAY.ID – President-elect Prabowo Subianto plans to call his cabinet ministerial candidates before October 15, 2024, just five days before the inauguration of himself and Gibran Rakabuming as President and Vice President for the 2024-2029 period.
Launching bloomber.com, Saturday (12/10/2024), Gerindra’s DPP Daily Chair, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, explained that the summoning of prospective ministers will be carried out before they are officially inaugurated in the cabinet.
“Yes, we will see later. But, of course, prospective ministers must first meet with the President-elect before being inaugurated,” Dasco said.
Although Prabowo has signaled that he will summon his cabinet ministers, Dasco has yet to confirm the location of the summons, whether at Prabowo’s house in Kertanegara, South Jakarta, or in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java.
“The invitation process is still being discussed, maybe it will be finalized tomorrow or Sunday, after which the summons will be made,” he explained.
Dasco has also not confirmed whether the meeting between Prabowo and the ministerial candidates will be open to the media or take place behind closed doors.
“I don’t know for sure yet. It depends on whether Saturday or Sunday will be open or closed. But, sooner or later, before October 20, the meeting will happen,” he added.
Previously, in late September, Dasco had stated that the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet would be finalized five days before the inauguration, on 15 October 2024.
However, at that time, he did not yet know the names of the ministerial candidates who would be announced on October 20, 2024. ***
